The decreasing cost of multi-omic health information has enabled the personalization of medical care. St... more The decreasing cost of multi-omic health data has enabled the personalization of medical intendance. Nonetheless, capturing a patient'southward personal health data in medical forms is challenging. The symptoms of an disease can often be traced to an activity or a body part and communicating this to an untrained patient is often unclear. To accost this problem, nosotros mapped an ontology of homo affliction phenotypes to a graphical delineation of the homo body. We hypothesized that describing the experience of affliction in a somatic representation would give patients a more authentic and descriptive agreement of their affliction. The representation can support health care workers to provide more than authentic analyses, aid caretakers in managing wellness risks and empower patients to take action to ameliorate their wellness.

We have a visual analytics arroyo towards an operational model of the human-computer system. In... more We take a visual analytics arroyo towards an operational model of the human-figurer arrangement. In particular, the arroyo combines ideas from (man-centered) interactive visualization and cognitive science. The model we derive is a first step on the path to a more complete evaluated and validated model. However, even at this stage important principles can be extracted for visual analytics systems that closely couple automatic analyses with human analytic reasoning and determination-making. These improved systems can and then exist applied effectively to difficult, open up-ended problems involving complex data. Another advantage of this approach is that specific gaps are revealed in both visual analytics methods and cognitive science understanding that must be filled in order to create the most effective systems. Related to this is that the resulting visual analytics systems congenital upon the human-computer model volition provide testbeds to further evaluate and extend cognitive scientific discipline principles.

To address this problem, we mapped an ontology of human disease phenotypes to a graphical depiction of the human being trunk. We hypothesized that describing the experience of illness in a somatic representation would give patients a more than authentic and descriptive understanding of their illness. The representation can support health care workers to provide more accurate analyses, aid caretakers in managing health risks and empower patients to take action to better their wellness.
